Elderly Woman Recalls 1965 Bigfoot Encounters at Oregon Homestead

There's something about a firsthand account that just hits different, and a recent video I came across on YouTube delivers one of the most detailed Sasquatch witness stories I've heard in a while. The host of The Round Table of Knowledge reads an email from a woman in her 70s who finally decided to share what happened to her back in 1965, when she was just 14 years old. What makes this account stand out isn't just the length of time she spent around these beings, but the sheer variety of encounters she describes. We're talking about a full summer of repeated visits, not just a fleeting glimpse in the woods. The setting alone gives me chills. She and her family moved to an old homestead on Highway 30 in Northwest Oregon, along Tandy Creek. The 80-year-old landlady who was born there told them the natives called it "Ghost Hollow Road," though she said the name was spoken in their native language. So the family initially thought they were dealing with spirits. Turns out, what was visiting them was very much physical. From May to October, sightings happened three to four times a week. Her parents were heavy drinkers who would head to the local pubs on weekends, leaving the kids to their own devices. And that's when the visitors would show up, usually within 15 minutes of her parents leaving. They'd come down the creek bed and announce their arrival by knocking down the TV antenna on the roof. Every single time. The property had a huge old apple orchard and blackberry briars everywhere, which sounds like prime Sasquatch territory if there ever was any. The beings would arrive at dusk and stay until dawn, tramping around the house. Her bedroom happened to be the back porch with windows all around and a small back door with a deadbolt. She told herself she was safe because surely they wouldn't reach through the glass and hurt her with broken shards. Looking back now, she realizes how naive that thinking was. Over that spring, summer, and fall, she had four visual sightings. She mentions they seemed particularly interested in the girls, all of whom were blondes. Her closest encounter came when a massive head appeared in her living room window, just five feet away from her. The head itself was three feet tall. Three inches of hair covered the face, making it hard to make out the nose and mouth, but the eyes, she says, were huge and blank. There's also a moment where she and a friend saw one running alongside their car at 40 miles per hour in a field. Another time, she was chased out of the woods on an old logging road with what sounded like trees falling over on their horses. Rocks were thrown at her and her girlfriend as they walked down old Highway 30, landing less than 20 feet in front or behind them with unsettling accuracy. Even when they started running, the rocks kept landing right on target. The beings ranged from 8 to 14 feet tall, which she could gauge by seeing their heads behind the blackberry bushes surrounding the yard. But the part that really got me, and probably will get you too, is the mind speak encounter. That fall, three of them showed up one morning as she was crossing a small foot bridge to wait for the school bus. She thought one was a female, smaller and white with a few dark patches, standing about 8 feet tall, flanked by two larger dark ones, one around 11 or 12 feet and the other about 9 and a half feet. The mind speak came with a rush of emotion, and they came to say goodbye. They asked if she wanted to go with them, knowing she'd be too scared to even consider it. And here's the detail that really stands out, they brought the female with them specifically to show how they revered their women. That detail alone speaks volumes about Sasquatch culture and social structure. She mentions that after watching a podcast, she realized her last encounter was actually in New Mexico back in 2018, a shimmering huge being stepping out of an 8-inch tree. Her intuition tells her that once you've had mind speak with them, you're forever connected, and that once one knows you, they all do. She also warns about "rogue ones" who are apparently cut off from the rest. The host mentions she's a military veteran with Kandahar experience, which adds another layer to her story. She's now in her 70s, recently diagnosed with dementia, and wanted to get her account out while she still could. Her son is an archaeologist, thank God, an open-minded one, she says. Her other kids think she's batshit crazy. This is one of those accounts that stays with you. The level of detail, the consistency of the encounters over an entire summer, the mind speak experience, and the cultural detail about how they revere their women, it all paints a picture of beings who are far more aware and intentional than most people give them credit for. If you want to hear the full account straight from the email itself, definitely check out the video. It's worth the listen.
