A YouTube channel called The Deep Forest Tales recently posted a detailed firsthand account from a man named Jason Turner, who claims he vanished as a Boy Scout in 1985 and spent the next 12 years living with a Sasquatch family in the mountains of southwest Virginia. The story begins with Turner, then 12 years old, getting separated from Troop 228 during a weekend hike in the Grayson Highlands near Mount Rogers. According to his account, he wandered off camp in thick fog while trying to photograph the wild ponies the area is famous for, and despite knowing better, kept walking instead of staying put. By the time the fog lifted, he was deep in the laurel hells with a badly wrenched ankle and no way back to the ridge. On his fourth night, he claims a female Sasquatch found him and carried him to her family. What he describes next is what makes this account stand out.
