If you've ever wondered just how intelligent Sasquatch really are, a recent interview on the Creek Devil YouTube channel might just blow your mind. The episode features a returning guest named Carl from Oklahoma, who has spent years working in the oil fields of the Sooner State and has had numerous encounters with what locals call "boogers" — a regional term for large, hair-covered hominids that fits right in line with Sasquatch descriptions.
What makes Carl's latest story stand out isn't just another sighting — it's the behavior he describes. While hauling loads late at night along Highway 11 in northwest Oklahoma, Carl witnessed something that sounds straight out of a horror movie: creatures actively herding deer into oncoming traffic.
According to Carl, he had been noticing an unusual pattern for some time. Deer in this area weren't behaving like normal deer. Instead of freezing in headlights or calmly walking across the road, they were bolting across, hitting the brakes, sliding on the pavement, and scrambling to get back across — almost as if they were being directed. Truck drivers in the area were hitting so many deer that Carl's company had actually fabricated steel bumpers out of drill pipe and mounted them on the front of their semis. That's how bad it had gotten.
One night, Carl decided to investigate. He set up a spotlight on his dashboard, rolled down his window despite the cold December air, and stuck his hand out to illuminate the roadside as he barreled toward a disposal well at 65 to 75 miles per hour. What he saw stopped him cold.
Two deer — a buck and a doe — took off running from the ditch. As they crossed the road, Carl hit the spotlight and saw four boogers on the far side of the road, jumping up and down, waving their arms, and opening their mouths as if screaming. On the other side of the road, two more were doing the exact same thing, essentially boxing the deer in and pushing them back into the path of oncoming trucks.
Carl describes the creatures as pitch black, hulking figures standing around 5.5 feet wide and 13 to 14 feet tall. And the most chilling part? He believes they were using the trucks as a hunting tool — essentially weaponizing human traffic to make the kill easier. After all, as Carl points out, these creatures can't just go to the hospital for stitches, so why risk a fight with a deer when you can let a 100,000-pound semi do the work for you?
The hosts of Creek Devil, William Jevnik and Tom, bring up a similar account from a witness named Lee in central Oregon. Lee watched a truck hit an elk ahead of him, and when he turned around 10 to 15 minutes later to check on the animal, it was completely gone — no blood trail, no drag marks, nothing. As if something had simply picked it up and carried it off. This pattern of large animals being struck and then vanishing is something researchers have noted in various Sasquatch hotspots over the years.
Carl also shares other observations from his years in the oil fields, including watching boogers stalk deer, stand motionless at trees waiting for rabbits, and twist the heads off their prey with terrifying efficiency. He's seen them hunt in coordinated groups, displaying a level of intelligence and patience that goes far beyond what most people assume these creatures are capable of.
For anyone interested in Sasquatch behavior and the growing body of witness testimony coming out of Oklahoma, this episode is absolutely worth the listen. Carl's firsthand accounts paint a picture of an animal — sorry, a being — that is far more cunning, organized, and aware of its environment than mainstream science would have you believe. The idea that Sasquatch might be using human infrastructure as part of their hunting strategy is a theory that deserves serious consideration, especially as more witnesses come forward with similar stories.
