There's something about those West Virginia hollers that just feels different, and a recent video from the YouTube channel Sasquatch and paranormal in Wineberry holler really captures that vibe. The creator takes viewers on a peaceful walk through her property, and while the scenery is gorgeous, there are a few moments that might raise some eyebrows for anyone paying close attention.
The video is mostly about the incredible natural springs running through the area. The water is crystal clear, ice cold, and apparently delicious. She mentions how the animals have plenty of fresh water there, and even points out that "the Sasquatch people have a lot of fresh water here." That alone is worth noting, because reliable water sources are exactly the kind of thing that would attract wildlife, including our hairy friends.
But the part that really caught my attention was when she noticed a rock sitting in a strange spot. She couldn't figure out how it got there. The water doesn't run that high, there's no place it could have fallen from, and no vehicle tracks nearby. She says she has a clue but doesn't elaborate. That's the kind of detail that makes you pause and think, especially in an area known for Sasquatch activity.
She also talks about the tree knocks, mentioning that they usually come from the biggest side of the mountain. She wishes she could have caught one on camera but explains how difficult it is since they only knock once a day or every other day, and she only records for short windows. She also points out how thick the vegetation is and how easy it would be for someone, or something, to sit and watch without anyone ever knowing.
The whole video has that quiet, observational feel that researchers love. It's not a dramatic sighting or a loud vocalization, but it's the kind of content that adds to the bigger picture. The landscape, the water, the thick cover, the tree knocks, and that mysterious rock all paint a picture of a place that feels very much alive with activity.
If you haven't seen it yet, it's definitely worth a watch. Sometimes the most interesting things are the ones you have to look closely to notice.
