Kentucky has always had a reputation for being a hotspot for Sasquatch activity, and a recent video that surfaced online is adding even more fuel to that fire. The clip features a firsthand account from a man who has had not one, not two, but multiple encounters over the years in Davis County, right near the Ohio River. And let me tell you, this one is worth the watch.
The story kicks off back in 2002 on his uncle's sprawling property, which sits at the edge of some serious wilderness — tall hills, deep ravines, and dense woods that roll right down into the river bottoms. The kind of terrain that screams Sasquatch country. He was helping his uncle clear a tree line, sitting on a tractor with the engine off while his uncle ran a massive bulldozer nearby. Then, out of nowhere, came a roar so loud it cut right through the sound of that dozer. The kind of scream that makes the hair on your neck stand straight up.
When he turned to look, every animal in the area — deer, rabbits, raccoons — was bolting out of the ravine behind an old abandoned barn. About ten minutes later, he spotted something leaning out of one of the barn's door openings, watching him. The creature had its arm wrapped around the beam at the top of the doorway. Now here's the kicker — the witness is 6'3" and could barely touch that beam on his tiptoes. That puts this thing at a minimum of 8 to 8.5 feet tall. That's textbook Sasquatch territory right there.
What makes this account even more compelling is what happened a few years later, around 2007. He and a buddy were up on the property digging through shale piles looking for fossils when rocks started getting thrown back at them from down in a ravine. That's a behavior researchers have documented time and time again — Sasquatch are known to mimic and even engage with people through rock throwing. When they started heading back to the truck, they heard footsteps pacing them through a ditch alongside the road. Whatever it was, it was matching them step for step. When they finally hit the high beams on the truck, the creature burst out of the reeds, ran straight in front of the vehicle, and bolted up a steep hillside faster than anything that size should be able to move. The witness described it as shaggy but clean, with a grayish tint, and built with muscles that rippled as it ran.
There's also a chilling moment from his childhood when he and his cousin were camping out in a tree fort they had built on one of the ridges. A whistle so loud and powerful came from down below that he could literally feel it in his chest. His cousin's dad was their first suspect, but he was sound asleep in bed. Whistles like this are commonly reported in Sasquatch encounters, and researchers often note that these vocalizations can carry an almost supernatural quality to them.
Over the years, this witness has continued to experience activity in the same area — more rocks thrown, tree structures, whistles, and even a strange chittering sound that bounced from one side of the woods to the other, almost like monkey gibberish. The video unfortunately cuts off right as he starts talking about a local hunter who was having issues with something stealing his deer, which is another behavior frequently associated with Sasquatch activity.
Davis County sits in a region of western Kentucky that has produced numerous reports over the years. The combination of dense hardwood forests, river bottoms, and rugged terrain makes it prime habitat. When you factor in multiple sightings spanning years, consistent behaviors like rock throwing and vocalizations, and a physical description that matches the classic Sasquatch profile, this account really stands out.
Definitely worth checking out the full video for yourself — the witness goes into even more detail, and his calm, straightforward delivery makes the story hit even harder.
