Fast forward to the 2006 youth deer season, when Shannon took her son and daughter out for a hunt. While tracking a wounded deer, they heard a loud, knocking howl-like sound and experienced a strong, foul odor in the air. Her children then revealed that they had seen a large, black, hairy figure climbing a tree.
