Hey there, Squatchable readers!
Today, we've got a real treat for you. A video from the YouTube channel Monster Myth has surfaced, and it's shaking things up in the Bigfoot world. The video title, Lost Trail Cam Photos Reveal Yellowstone's Biggest Secret, is intriguing enough, but the content is even more mind-blowing.
The video features a groundbreaking ranger report recently uncovered from the National Park Service archives. This report suggests that Sasquatch may not only be real, but secretly classified as a protected species, with special agents working behind the scenes to prevent its discovery.
The report, dated October 15th, 1986, Case ID #: 377, Location: Yellowstone National Park, and Time: 5:00 PM, was submitted by Ranger K. Johnson. The incident report summary reveals a close encounter with an unidentified humanoid creature by a team of wildlife researchers.
According to the report, the researchers had ventured toward Mount Sheridan, following a pattern of unusual deer carcass sites. At the base of a secluded ravine, they discovered a small cave they initially believed was a bear den or a wolf habitat. Upon closer inspection, they noticed signs of recent activity: clumps of wet fur, large muddy tracks, and an overwhelming rotten stench.
As they began setting up their equipment, one researcher caught sight of something standing just inside the cave’s entrance – larger than a man, covered in thick, dark fur, and possessing eerily human-like features. They attempted to scare it off with a bear horn, but instead of retreating, the figure moved towards them.
The team fled immediately, abandoning some of their gear in their rush. They sustained minor injuries from running through wet terrain and dense undergrowth. Ranger Johnson, who was initially skeptical of their characterization of events, investigated the scene and found several deer carcasses with haphazard and messy wounds, suggesting the presence of a predator rather than poachers.
However, there were no signs of wolf or bear territorial markings. The soggy terrain made it difficult to determine precise tracks, but Ranger Johnson could easily distinguish the stench from the carcasses – it wasn’t urine or scat, but something worse. A tuft of black fur was caught in a low branch; coarse in texture and carrying a pungent odor.
Ranger Johnson followed the sound of a distant howl and found the cave, partially obscured by overgrown brush. The team's gear was scattered outside, and what troubled her most were the carcasses. It wasn't just deer – a wolf lay among them with its abdomen torn open. Its ribs were cracked apart by something far stronger than any scavenger.
Ranger Johnson stepped closer, careful not to disturb the scene. Then, she sensed movement from inside the cave. When she focused her vision, she saw a pair of eyes staring back at her. It appeared too high for any known animal. She raised her rifle, but hesitated. If she fired, it might retreat deeper into the cave, and she needed to see what she was dealing with. Instead, she let out a series of sharp, deliberate whistles as she stepped back, coaxing it forward and into the dim light.
The figure moved with her. Then, it fully stepped into view. For one breathless second, she saw it. The researchers had not exaggerated at all. Its sheer size and unnatural proportions were startling enough, but its face – I've never seen anything so grotesque in my life. Dizzy from the putrid odor, something deep in her instincts screamed at her to run. So she did.
Behind her, its howl reverberated across the valley. Despite the assurance that it wasn’t giving her a chase, she didn’t stop until she reached our base camp. Her hands were trembling, carrying what equipment she could recover from the site.
This report is explicit documentation from a government official about a highly unusual encounter, that she witnessed firsthand, corroborated by multiple eyewitnesses (who were all science professionals), and involved two federal departments: the USFWS and NPS.
So why wasn't it made public? What happened to the scientists? What became of Ranger Johnson, and the fur sample she extracted? And above all, why weren't any measures taken to protect people? This thing was loose, out in the wild, without natural predators and unafraid of humans! It seems highly unethical to hide its existence and let park visitors fend for themselves. How many deaths under "suspicious circumstances” must there be? Because remember, this isn’t just an intelligent species. It’s one capable of immense physical violence. Ranger Johnson describes it as towering in height, with the strength to tear a wolf apart with ease.
Well, here's one theory: What if the USFWS has been secretly protecting the creature from the public… or protecting the public from the creature… all along? Swooping in after Ranger Johnson filed her report and holding it in captivity, to ensure that neither one ever saw the light of day?
To understand the involvement of USFWS, and the plausibility of this theory, let's examine their history. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is responsible for enforcing the Endangered Species Act (or ESA) and has the power to designate species as threatened or endangered… sometimes even in secret. When a new species is discovered, especially one that could disrupt industries such as logging, hunting, or land development, the agency has, in the past, delayed or suppressed reports.
Take the Ivory-billed Woodpecker, for instance. It was declared extinct for decades, but credible sightings continued to surface. If the government had confirmed its existence, it would have forced strict logging bans in its known habitats. But instead, the sightings were dismissed as mistaken identity, and logging continues uninterrupted. Another example is the red wolf. In the seventies, they were officially declared extinct in the wild… but only because USFWS had captured the last remaining wolves and placed them in a secret captive breeding program. For years, the fate of their species was unclear to the public. Even if their conservation efforts were successful, the public remained in the dark.
So, what do you think? Is this just another cover-up by the government, or is there something more to this story? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. And don't forget to watch the video on Monster Myth's channel for more details on this fascinating encounter. Until next time, happy squatching!
