Massive Sasquatch-like Creature, Old Yellow Top, Spotted in Cobalt, Ontario: Miners' 1970 Encounter

Intriguing footage has surfaced on YouTube, featuring the legendary creature known as Old Yellow Top, a massive Sasquatch-like entity roaming the forests of Cobalt, Ontario, Canada. This elusive creature, standing about 7 feet tall, has a distinctive blonde patch of hair on its head and a light colored mane, earning it the name "Old Yellow Top." Old Yellow Top is described as being incredibly large, towering over most humans. While the exact height can vary from one report to another, it's usually depicted as much taller and bulkier than an average person. Its fur is shaggy and yellow with shades that can range from pale yellow to a deeper golden color. Many people say it resembles an ape or a large primate. Some sightings even claim that its eyes glow in the dark or have a reddish tint, making it seem even more eerie. Like other cryptids, Old Yellow Top is associated with a strong foul smell that people describe as a mix of musk, rot, and decay. The legend of Old Yellow Top comes from the folklore of the indigenous peoples in British Columbia, Canada, and the stories have been passed down through generations among various First Nations communities. Witnesses claim to have found big, distinctive footprints that look humanoid, but are way larger than typical human prints. There have been sightings of Old Yellow Top over 64 years, starting in September 1906, the same year Cobalt was founded. One well-known sighting happened in July 1923, when two skilled woodsmen, J. A. Macaulay and Lauren Wilson, were checking out their mining claims near Wetloffer Mine. They saw something that looked like a bear munching on blueberries. Wilson, feeling bold, threw a stone at the creature. It stood up, growled, and took off into the night. Wilson described it as having a yellow head and black fur like a bear, but he had never seen anything like it before. In April 1947, a woman and her young son were walking along railway tracks into Cobalt for their weekly shopping. She was on the lookout for bear cubs and their mothers. So, she got a bit jumpy when a large shadow moved near the tracks. What she saw was shocking. It didn't look like a bear, a wolf, or anything she recognized. It walked on two legs, almost like a man, but was covered in brown hair. The last sighting occurred on August 4th, 1970, when Amos Latriel, Larry Cormack, and others reported seeing the creature. Their group of miners from Cobalt Load Mine was driving along when the creature crossed their path, causing Latriel to lose control of the vehicle and nearly drive off a rock cut. He initially thought it was a bear, but later noticed its lightish hair reaching down to its shoulders, which clashed with its darker fur.
