Welcome back to Squatchable, your go-to source for all things Bigfoot! Today, we're diving into a fascinating compilation of Dogman reports, curated from various YouTube channels.
First up, we have a spine-tingling encounter from Halloween night in 1989. Doris Gibson was driving on Bray Road near Elorn, Wisconsin, when she felt her tire lift slightly. Upon stopping to investigate, she encountered a creature unlike any she'd ever seen. It was large, hunched, and low to the ground, but it didn't move like a dog. It crept towards her on all fours, then rose to its hind legs, standing a full head taller than any man she knew. Its barrel chest, long muscular arms, and thick clawed fingers left her stunned. The creature's head was unmistakably canine, but its expression seemed human.
Next, we travel to Kentucky in the spring of 1982. A man named Ron and his 12-year-old son were camping in a secluded clearing near a creek when they noticed movement across the creek. The creature that emerged was bipedal, standing 8 feet tall with a German Shepherd-like head and fur that looked modeled brown and gray. Its long arms ended in large clawed fingers, and it seemed to be watching them long before they noticed.
Our third report takes us to a distribution center in Taylor, Michigan, on a foggy October morning. A security guard on the graveyard shift had a bizarre encounter near the dumpsters in the back lot. He initially assumed it was a large dog rooting through the trash, but when he shone his flashlight on it, the creature stood up. It was covered in patchy coarse hair, had a wolf-like head, and a body built like a man's. Its expression was not just animal instinct; there was something behind it. Intelligence.
The fourth report comes from a seasoned hunter named Dean, who was tracking deer sign in a remote patch of woods in Jefferson County, Alabama, in 1994. He noticed strange prints in the soft creekside mud, too big for a dog with claw marks and deep heel impressions, like a human walking barefoot. He followed the prints for about a mile when he spotted movement ahead near the water. Squatting at the edge of the creek was a large dark figure. Dean dropped to one knee and raised his scope to get a better look. What he saw sent an absolute chill through him. It had a posture of a man crouching, but the body was covered in thick dark brown fur. The head was canine, long snout, pointed ears, and a wide jaw with visible teeth. As if sensing his presence, this thing slowly stood up and it stretched to a full height of around 7 ft and started to scan the trees.
Our fifth report takes us to a remote dirt road in Monroe County, Michigan, in the summer of 1997. A teenage couple was parked there when they heard a low scratching sound on the passenger side door. The girl looked out the window and screamed. Standing next to the car, leaning in slightly, was a towering creature with glowing red eyes. It had a narrow, pointed snout like a Doberman's, tall ears, and long, dirty black fur that looked matted with mud or something worse. The creature didn't seem scared. It stared into the car, its breath fogging the glass.
Our sixth report comes from a man from lower Michigan who was staying at a hunting cabin in Baraga County in the Upper Peninsula during October of 2011. He was there alone for a long weekend, hoping for some peace and quiet. On the second night, he stepped outside around 11:30 p.m. He wanted to have a smoke and enjoy the cold air. And that's when he noticed two eyes reflecting from the tree line, low to the ground at first, like a crouched animal. But then they rose. The figure behind them stood up fully, taller than the cabin roof line, which was estimated at 7 and 1/2 ft. He said it had a canine head, was very angular with thick fur that looked like a mane or rough around the shoulders. The chest was wide, the arms were long, and the posture was slightly hunched but unmistakably bipedal. He stood frozen on the porch, cigarette still burning in his fingers, as this creature took a step towards him and exhaled audibly.
Our seventh report takes us to Kentucky Lake near Paris, Tennessee, one August night. Two men in their 30s were fishing when they started hearing rustling noises along the shoreline about 50 ft away. Thinking it was a raccoon or a deer, they paid little mind, but then a long growl echoed across the water. One of the men shined a high-powered flashlight towards the noise and caught a glimpse of something upright, tall, and broad-shouldered ducking behind a tree. Over the next few minutes, the creature circled their position on the shoreline, staying hidden but letting out growls. Eventually, they got a clear look when it stepped partially from behind the trees. They said it was covered in patchy gray fur, had a snout, and it had long arms nearly to its knees. One of the men said that its eyes reflected green.
Our eighth and final report comes from a woman in her early 30s who decided to go solo camping in Okala National Forest in May of 2015. She had set up camp near a primitive site about 5 miles off the main road. At around 1:00 a.m., she heard a loud growl. She shone her flashlight around and saw two pairs of glowing red eyes. She quickly packed up and left, not wanting to stick around to find out what made those eyes.
