Hey Squatchable fans,
Have you ever come across a video that just sends chills down your spine and leaves you questioning everything you thought you knew about the world? Well, that's exactly what happened to me when I stumbled upon this two-hour compilation of creature stories.
The video was shared by the YouTube channel Dixie Cryptid, and it's a must-watch for any Bigfoot enthusiast. The story that really caught my attention was about a woman who went on a hiking trip in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
She was with her ex-boyfriend, who was a complete jerk, and her dog, a pure white lab husky pit bull mix. After a long drive from Raleigh, they arrived at their destination and set off on the trail to Graveyard Falls.
The woman was drawn to a trail that was less traveled and found herself in a lush green meadow with a small crystal-clear pond. It was picturesque and she felt completely relaxed. However, her ex-boyfriend wanted to smoke marijuana, and she reluctantly agreed.
As they were sitting there, the woman noticed a dark green hat with feathers attached sitting on a rock that was half submerged in the water. She was drawn to it and went to investigate. As she got closer, she heard the lighter click as her ex-boyfriend hit the blunt.
At that moment, the hair on the back of her neck stood up, and she felt the need to run. She repressed this feeling and hit the blunt once, but she could feel something was not right. She told her ex-boyfriend something was not right and that she was leaving.
He called her names and yelled at her because he wanted to stay, but she quickly moved up towards the more difficult part of the climb. That's when she heard something following her. She stumbled over her dog, who was pressed against her leg, and she felt hot breath hit her directly in the face.
She froze and stared into the trees, but she couldn't see anything except intertwined branches. She felt it exhale again and this time she registered the smell, which was an earthy and rotten odor. She didn't throw up, but she's not sure how.
She grabbed her dog and ran until she reached the fork in the trail and heard people again. It turned out that she had only been gone for a couple of minutes, and the older couple she had spoken to earlier was still there.
The woman was clearly shaken, and the older woman asked her if she was okay. The woman told her something had chased her and they all needed to get out of there. The older woman seemed unsure of what to say and stared at the woman as if to try and figure out what she was telling her.
In the most polite tone she could muster, the woman told the older woman, "Something is out there and it's not safe here. I'm leaving immediately." And that's when the older woman told her, "Dear, you were only gone a couple of minutes."
The woman's expression must have given her away because the older woman said, "Are you sure you're okay? You don't look very good." The woman stuttered, "Yeah, I'm okay." And she assured the older woman she was parked in the lot.
This story is a chilling reminder of the dangers that lurk in the woods, and it's a reminder to always trust your instincts. Bigfoot sightings are rare, but when they happen, they can be terrifying.
So, if you're a Bigfoot believer like me, make sure to check out this two-hour compilation of creature stories on Dixie Cryptid's YouTube channel. Who knows, you might just stumble upon a story that will send chills down your spine.
