In a chilling video posted on the YouTube channel "Bigfoot Ebooks 1980s," a gold prospector shares his terrifying encounter with something massive and unseen in the Green Mountains of Vermont.
Jason Baitman, a retired military security officer with a passion for storytelling, was knee-deep in the icy waters of Cold River, sifting through sediment for gold. Suddenly, he heard a sharp echoing crack, and a column of water erupted just a few yards away. A moment later, a rock the size of a football came crashing down, barely missing him. The rock had been thrown from an embankment 75 feet away and 200 feet up - no human could have thrown it that far. As Jason glanced over his shoulder, he saw a shifting shadow among the trees. Without hesitation, he gathered his gear and left, not stopping until he was miles away.
The video also features the story of Kelly Nash from Scotia, New York, who went on a mountain biking trip in central Vermont with her cousin in the summer of 1995. They settled on Tinker Brook shelter, tucked deep in the Calvin Coolidge State Park near the backslopes of Killington Peak. That night, they felt an immense force pressing against the shelter, as if something was testing its strength. Despite their attempts to find signs of an intruder the next day, they found nothing.
