A fascinating account of a possible Sasquatch encounter from years ago has recently surfaced on the YouTube channel Bigfoot Society. The channel, which features interviews and stories about Bigfoot sightings and experiences, shared the story of Joey, a retired outdoorsman, avid fisherman, and survival tech instructor from Oregon.
Joey's story takes us back to his childhood camping trips with his family in eastern Oregon. One particular trip to Delintment Lake in the 1960s stands out in his memory. While driving on a gravel road near the lake, they came across a deer with three arrows sticking out of it, limping along the hillside. Joey's father, an avid deer hunter, put the deer out of its misery. The family stayed at the lake for a few days, and on the second night, they had a mysterious visitor.
Lying in their tent, Joey and his sister heard something walking into their camp. Assuming it was a deer or elk, they were surprised when they heard it hit the side of the tent. Joey reached up to scare it off, but instead, he hit something solid. His sister peeked outside and saw a man standing by the fire, wearing a fur suit.
Naturally, the family was shaken up by the encounter and decided to spend the night in the canopy of their Ford pickup. The next morning, Joey's father was already packing up, and they left the campground vacant. Joey's sister, now 70, still doesn't know what she saw that night, but she remembers it standing up by the fire.
The area where this encounter took place is known for other Sasquatch sightings, especially in the Blue Mountains just east of there. While Joey and his family didn't see the creature clearly, the mysterious figure in the fur suit has left many wondering if they encountered a Sasquatch.
