In a recent video from the YouTube channel Cryptids of the Corn, hosts Jay Clone and the Great and Powerful Mystery delve into an intriguing historical account known as the Bigfoot War of 1855. This alleged conflict took place between a band of thieves and the formidable Light Horsemen of the Choctaw Nation, including the famed Humus Tubi and his six sons, all reportedly standing at 7 feet or taller.
The video discussion reveals that the Choctaw Warriors were on a mission to put an end to a reign of terror involving livestock and vegetable theft, as well as the kidnapping of children. Armed with high-powered rifles and pistols, the Light Horsemen ventured deep into the McCurtain County wilderness area of present-day Oklahoma.
After an 8-hour ride, they stopped near the Clover River to rest and eat. Upon resuming their journey, they suddenly halted when General Josea Lafair spotted something unusual through his telescope. Ordering the Warriors to charge, they were met with an overpowering stench of decay and death, causing their horses to panic and buck, unseating most of the riders.
This fascinating story, while not directly involving Bigfoot, does touch upon themes of mysterious and unexplained events in history. It also highlights the presence of unusually tall individuals among Native American communities, which is of great interest to the Bigfoot research community.
