A new video posted on YouTube by the channel "Forgotten History" delves into a terrifying tale of a Bigfoot war that allegedly took place in Oklahoma in 1855. The video describes how a group of Choctaw and Anglo farmers in what is now Laflor County were experiencing some disturbing events, including the theft of crops, livestock, and other food stuffs by stealthy bandits in the night. However, things took a drastic turn when women and children started disappearing. According to the video, a group of 30 Choctaw men, led by Joshua Laflor, organized a posse to hunt down the abductors. They were joined by a Choctaw warrior named Hamas Tubby and his six sons, all of whom were massive men approaching 7 feet in height and weighing over 300 pounds each. The group rode into the wilderness area now known as McCurtain County, where they believed the bandits to be hiding. Upon arriving in the area, Laflor brought his troops to a halt and surveyed the area with a spy glass. He then ordered his men to charge towards a stand of pines roughly 500 yards away. As the men cleared the small wooded patch, they came upon a large earthen mound with the bodies of children and women in various stages of decomposition scattered across it. It was then that they caught a glimpse of several of the murderers fleeing into the tree line on the opposite side of the mound. The video suggests that the men realized they were not up against human foes, but rather standing before them were three huge hair-covered creatures. Laflor drew his pistol and saber, spurred his horse, and charged at the nearest Sasquatch, which struck his horse in the head, killing it instantly. Laflor then fired multiple shots into the chest of the creature and attacked the second Sasquatch with his saber, opening a gaping wound on the animal. The Tubby men, who had been hesitant to join the fray, finally opened fire on the three Sasquatches with 50-caliber Sharps Buffalo rifles, killing two of the creatures instantly and wounding the third, which fled. The video notes that the Choctaw Warriors returned to Tuscahoma, where it is said that even the mighty Tubby men were plagued by terrible nightmares for years afterward. While the story is certainly intriguing, it's good to note that there is no concrete evidence to support the claim that a Bigfoot war took place in Oklahoma in 1855. However, the tale does suggest a long-standing belief in the presence of a massive, hairy creature in the area, predating the emergence of Bigfoot in American culture.
