Boy's 1967 Encounter with a Two-Legged, Rapid Bigfoot Creature

A fascinating account of a possible Bigfoot encounter has recently surfaced on the YouTube channel, Bigfoot Society. The witness, Lance, shares his experience from 1967 when he was just nine and a half years old. Lance and his father were at their mining claim on the North Fork of the Trinity River in Northern California. One morning, two hunting dogs wandered up to their cabin, which was unusual. As Lance was playing outside, he noticed the dogs barking and looking towards the west. He then saw a "big dark black thing" coming down a cutaway on the other side of the road. When he called out to his father and asked what it was, his father told him to get inside the cabin immediately. His father grabbed his deer rifle and stood in front of the cabin as the mysterious creature approached. Lance described it as being about 6.5 to 7 feet tall, covered in black hair, and with long, thick fingers and fingernails like a human's. The creature seemed unbothered by the dogs, rifle, and men standing in front of it and instead focused its attention on a dredger down by the river. After making growling and grunting noises, the creature disappeared into the willows along the creek bed. Lance's father tried to downplay the encounter, telling him it was just a bear, but Lance knew that bears walk on all fours, not two legs. This experience has stayed with Lance for 53 years, and he wanted to share his story with someone who might believe him. The location of Lance's encounter was about 15 miles east of Willow Creek, an area well-known for Bigfoot sightings. Lance's description of the creature's long strides, muscular arms, and human-like fingers and fingernails is consistent with many other Bigfoot sightings.
