A father-son duo from the Mid Florida Bigfoot Research Group recently had a pair of exciting encounters in West Central Florida, and they’re sharing their story with the world.
Michael and his son Kain, who’s turning 11, were out fishing and doing some research near a creek that runs through a power line easement. The area is divided into a mowed side and an unmowed side, with the creek cutting off visibility to the other side. As they were fishing, they started hearing loud noises that sounded like bows, but much larger and more numerous.
Kain, who’s very curious, went to investigate and saw what he described as a “big gorilla or bear” with half its body poking out of a tree. The creature quickly retreated when Kain looked up, but not before he saw its head and shoulders, which were brownish and had wide shoulders. Kain was so convinced by what he saw that he started crying when his father initially didn’t believe him.
The next day, Michael and his dog went back to the area and found a bedding area with three palms that had been pushed over and dug out underneath. He also found a blurry picture of what looked like a Bigfoot, which they’ve nicknamed Harry, peeking out from behind a tree.
On another occasion, the pair went to an elevated area near a 10,000-acre preserve and made noises to try and communicate with any Bigfoots in the area. They heard vocalizations in response, with the sounds getting closer and closer until they were just 40 feet away. Michael describes the sound as the loudest owl noise he’s ever heard, and Kain was so scared that he started crying.
These encounters are just the latest in a long line of sightings and experiences for the Mid Florida Bigfoot Research Group.
