In a recent video from the YouTube channel World Bigfoot Central, hosts RobRoy Menzies and Lrd Scotthack sit down with returning guest Sunny Alaska to discuss her experiences in the Nahanni Valley, also known as the Valley of the Headless Men. Sunny shares her family's narrowly-avoided move to the valley as a child, and her geologist friend's terrifying encounter with unknown creatures while exploring the area.
Sunny's family had initially planned to move to the Nahanni Valley after serving in the Vietnam War, hoping to live off the grid and away from people. However, they were saved from this fate when the canoe they had commissioned could not be finished in time, and the area had been turned into a national park in the meantime. Sunny's father still doesn't fully understand the danger of the area, as it is known for its headless corpses and the local Native tribes refusing to live near it due to the "bad things" that reside there.
Years later, Sunny's geologist friend wanted to visit the valley to study its geothermal pools. Despite the warnings and regulations against straying from designated paths, she paid a helicopter pilot extra to drop her off by a pool. However, they were forced to cut their exploration short when they heard horrifying screams and growls in the distance. The helicopter pilot, who had initially refused to wait for them, returned early due to a "bad feeling" and refused to give any more information.
The Nahanni Valley is located in the Alaskan Triangle, an area known for its high number of missing persons cases. While some may attribute these disappearances to the harshness of the wilderness, many believe that there are other, more supernatural forces at play. Sunny also shares her knowledge of the Mamna monster and other "Mountain Giants or Mountain trolls" that are said to live in the area.
I am always intrigued by stories of unknown creatures and their interactions with humans. Sunny's experiences and knowledge of the Nahanni Valley and the Alaskan Triangle are definitely worth a watch. You can check out the full video on World Bigfoot Central's YouTube channel.
