The first story takes us back to Winter 1890 in central Sweetwater County, Wyoming. A grandfather and his son had gone hunting for food for several people in the town. However, after hours of not seeing any wildlife, they decided to head back. As they were leaving the woods, the son realized he left his canteen behind, so he ran back to get it. Meanwhile, the grandfather leaned against a tree and started to light his pipe when suddenly, a fallen tree began to rock. To his surprise, a large hairy man, about 7 feet tall, appeared from behind the tree. The being was completely naked, with black hair and gray patches, and it seemed to be looking for something under the tree. The grandfather was shocked and dropped his pipe, which caught the creature's attention. In broken English, the grandfather offered the pipe to the creature, but it let out a horrid cry and walked away. The grandfather was so shaken that he and his son moved away a few months later. The second story takes place in December 1966 in Teeton County, Wyoming. Two young men were hunting coyotes when they shot a gorilla-like figure that they initially thought was a bear. When they approached the body, they realized it was a massive and hairy creature, about 7 feet tall, with a bare face and huge hands and feet. The creature was dark brown and human-like, with long hair covering its body except for the soles of its feet and the palms of its hands. The two men were so frightened that they left the body and fled to Iowa. The third story is from May 1978 in Park County, Wyoming. Two geologists were driving into Yellowstone and Cody for employment when they saw a dark shaggy figure on the side of the road. The creature was about 7 to 7.5 feet tall and weighed around 800 pounds. It had a blocky yet elongated head, broad shoulders, and a thick neck. The creature walked across the road and disappeared into a culvert. The geologists were so stunned that they didn't report the sighting until the next day. The final story is from the fall of 1983 in Bear Lake County, Wyoming. Several friends and their dads were camping near Elk Valley with their bows for their annual bow camp. One morning, one of the friends walked downhill through a thick area of timber, expecting to break out into a clearing with a few rocky knolls that drained into some ponds at the bottom. However, as he walked, he heard rustling in the bushes and saw a large figure moving through the trees. The figure was about 8 feet tall and covered in dark brown hair. It walked on two legs and had broad shoulders and a thick neck. The friend was so frightened that he ran back to camp and told his dad what he saw. These stories are just a few of the many chilling accounts of Bigfoot sightings in Wyoming.
