Ontario's Shadowy Figure: A Decade of Bigfoot Sightings

Recently, I came across a fascinating video on YouTube that I just had to share with my fellow Bigfoot enthusiasts over at Squatchable. The video, posted by the channel Bigfoot Ebooks 1980s, features a series of captivating stories and encounters with the mysterious creature. The first story takes us back to August 5, 1970, near Cobalt, Ontario. A bus driver named Amy was driving a group of miners to their late-night shift when something massive emerged from the thick tree line. At first, Amy thought it was a bear, but as the creature turned, she saw its long shaggy hair catching the light in uneven clumps. Its shoulders were broad, and its arms hung low, nearly reaching its knees. This was no bear, and the miners on the bus would never forget their unnerving encounter with this elusive creature. The video then moves on to a personal account from the summer of 1975 in Fort Francis, Ontario. A young boy was awakened in the middle of the night by deep, rhythmic breathing. When he looked towards his bedroom window, he saw a hulking figure backlit by the moon. At first, he thought it was a bear, but the figure was too tall, with shoulders too broad and a head nearly touching the top of the window. As his eyes adjusted, he realized this wasn't an animal. The creature stood motionless, watching him. When the boy shifted in bed, the creature reacted, mimicking his movements. To this day, the witness doesn't know what he saw that night, but he's certain it wasn't just a bear. Another story comes from the summer of 1978 in Street Catherine, Ontario. Two friends, Lee and Churro, were driving down a deserted, treelined road when they saw a figure standing in the middle of the road. At first, Lee assumed it was a man playing chicken, but as they got closer, they realized it wasn't human. The creature had thick leathery skin and a face that resembled an alligator, standing on two feet with yellow slitted eyes. Lee tried to fight the creature with a baseball bat, but it didn't even flinch. The creature swiped at Lee with unnatural speed, causing him to bolt back to the car in terror. The final story takes us to August 19, 1978, in Grimsby, Ontario. A couple was out for a relaxing evening drive when something bolted across the road, stopping just inches from their car. The creature, covered in dark shaggy fur, was easily over 7 feet tall with long powerful limbs. As it dashed across the road, it turned its head, locking eyes with them for a brief moment before disappearing into the forest.
