Friends Encounter Mysterious Forces in Garden of the Gods Wilderness

A fascinating account of possible Bigfoot activity in the Garden of the Gods Wilderness in Southern Illinois has been shared on the YouTube channel, Bigfoot Society. The two witnesses, Jim Peters and Joe Jenkins, have had a series of unexplained experiences while hiking and camping in the area. Jim and Joe have been friends since second grade and have been hiking together for many years. They stumbled upon the Garden of the Gods Wilderness area and were immediately drawn to its beauty and the sense of mystery it held. During one of their hikes, they heard loud and distinct footfalls on top of a bluff, which they couldn't see but could feel the vibrations from. Jim even put his hand on the bluff and could feel the vibrations as the creature walked. As they continued their hike, a large rock was thrown from the bluff above them, hitting the ice and causing it to come crashing down behind Joe. This was just one of the many strange occurrences that Jim and Joe experienced in the area. Another time, while camping on a bluff, they heard a mechanical sound, almost like an electric drill or saw, coming from the woods behind them. They searched for the source of the sound but it seemed to move each time they got close. Jim and Joe both felt that the creature was toying with them, demonstrating a level of intelligence and awareness. These experiences have left Jim and Joe feeling both intrigued and cautious about the Garden of the Gods Wilderness area. They continue to explore and investigate, but always with a healthy dose of respect for the unknown.
