If you're a Bigfoot enthusiast, you're in for a treat! A recent YouTube video from International Public Radio features an interview with Sarah Bignell, host of the Yowie Central podcast from Southeast Australia. In the video, Sarah shares her experiences and knowledge about the Yowie, the Australian version of Bigfoot. Sarah has been fascinated with the Yowie phenomenon for years and started the Yowie Central podcast to share her obsession with others. The podcast began as a local radio show and has since grown to be listened to in over 33 different countries, with over 300,000 downloads in five years. Sarah also served as the Yowie Witness Interviewer for Australian Yowie Research for three and a half years, where she interviewed two or three people every day. During the interview, Sarah explains that there are at least two, but possibly three, different species of Yowies in Australia. The first is a large, Patty-like creature, while the second is a leaner, more human-looking being. There are also smaller Yowies, known as "little fellas," that have been reported. Sarah shares that Yowies have been reported in various geographical locations in Australia, including mountain ranges, deserts, and even residential areas. She believes that Yowies have the ability to cloak themselves and make themselves invisible, which could explain why they are able to go unnoticed in residential areas. When it comes to technology for tracking Yowies, Sarah is not particularly interested in the latest gadgets. However, she does have a thermal camera and mentions a remarkable piece of thermal footage captured by her old team in Spring Book National Park. The footage shows two beings, at least 9-10 feet tall, hiding behind a large tree. Sarah's passion for the Yowie phenomenon is contagious, and her interview is definitely worth a watch. it's always exciting to learn about the different species and experiences from around the world. Who knows, maybe one day we'll be able to add the Yowie to our list of Sasquatch sightings!
