A fascinating account of Bigfoot encounters in the Pacific Northwest has recently surfaced on the YouTube channel Sasquatch Theory. In this episode, host Mark from Morgan shares his personal experiences of running into these elusive creatures during his travels along the Columbia River.
Mark, an ex-Coast Guardsman and tugboat worker, has had several close encounters with what he believes to be Sasquatch. His first experience occurred in 1994, when he was on a two-week-long mountain biking trip along the Duet River in Oregon. While fishing, he heard a loud clunking sound coming down the river and spotted a drift boat with two terrified fishermen on board. As they passed by, Mark was struck by the overpowering smell of a combination of atrocious odors, which he later identified as the infamous "Sasquatch smell."
Another memorable encounter took place in Oregon, where Mark was walking back to his tugboat late at night. He sensed something following him and, after picking up a rock, hurled it in the direction of the noise. The projectile landed in the water, and whatever was stalking him took off, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Mark described the path of destruction as if a 500-pound alligator had plowed through the underbrush.
Mark's most recent encounter happened in British Columbia while he was walking back from watching a hockey game with a friend. He noticed something was following him and, after grabbing a rock, turned to find a Sasquatch running across the trail just 30 feet in front of him. Mark took the opportunity to throw the rock, hitting the creature in the right arm.
