A thrilling account of an alleged encounter with mysterious creatures has recently surfaced on YouTube, and it's making waves in the Bigfoot community. The story comes from the YouTube channel Lu Like Luna, and it's a chilling tale of five men who claim to have been attacked by unknown beings near Mount St. Helens in Washington state.
The incident took place in the summer of 1924, when five men - Fred Beck, Gabe LEF fever, John Peterson, Maran Smith, and Maran's son Roy Smith - traveled to the base of Mount St. Helens in search of gold. They had been prospecting the area for six years and had built a cabin near a deep gorge to the east of the volcano.
According to the account, the men had been hearing strange noises at night for about a week, including whistling, booming thumping noises, and what sounded like something hitting itself on the chest. They had also heard stories about the "mountain devils" that were said to haunt the area around Spirit Lake, but they didn't let the tales deter them from their search for gold.
The encounter that would change their lives forever began when Maran asked Fred to accompany him to the spring to get some water. As they approached the spring, they saw a large shape moving behind the trees on the opposite side of the canyon. The creature was described as being about 7 feet tall with blackish brown hair and huge ears.
Fred fired at the creature, who ducked behind a tree and then took off running. Fred shot at it three more times before it disappeared. The two men returned to their group and reported what they had seen, but they decided it was best to stay in the cabin for the night as it was already getting dark.
At around midnight, the men were awakened by a loud thud. Maran began waving his rifle back and forth and soon realized that the cabin was under attack. The creatures were hurling rocks and boulders at the cabin, trying to break inside. The men began shooting at the walls and the roof, trying to fend off the attackers.
At one point, one of the creatures managed to get an arm in between the logs of the cabin and grabbed hold of an axe. Fred was able to grab the axe and Maran shot at the creature, causing it to let go. The attack lasted for several hours, and when it was over, the men found that one of the creatures had fallen into a nearby canyon.
The men quickly gathered their belongings and left the cabin, leaving behind about $200 worth of equipment. They reported the incident to park rangers and later to their friends, sparking a frenzy of interest in the mysterious creatures.
The story has been met with a mix of excitement and skepticism in the Bigfoot community. While some believe that the men encountered a group of Sasquatch, others think that the story may have been fabricated or that the men may have been attacked by something other than Bigfoot.
In my opinion, the account is certainly intriguing and worth considering. The details of the attack are vivid and specific, and the fact that all five men stuck to their stories for the most part lends credibility to the account. Additionally, the idea that the men may have encountered a group of Sasquatch is certainly exciting and worth exploring further.
Regardless of whether or not the story is true, it's a fascinating account that is sure to spark the interest of any Bigfoot enthusiast. I encourage everyone to watch the video and decide for themselves whether or not they believe the men's story.
