In a recent video from the YouTube channel Idaho Bigfoot, host Jep and his assistant discuss the topic of portals in relation to Bigfoot sightings. Jep raises the question of whether there are any natural phenomena that could explain what people are seeing when they report encountering portals. I was intrigued by this discussion and decided to delve deeper into the topic.
Jep mentions the sun candle phenomenon, which is caused by sunlight interacting with small flat ice crystals found in the atmosphere. This interaction creates a vertical beam of light that resembles a candle flame. While this phenomenon is not a portal in the traditional sense, it is possible that people could mistake it for one, especially in areas with cold weather where this phenomenon is more likely to occur.
Another related phenomenon that Jep mentions is Light Pillars, which are created when tiny ice crystals reflect natural or artificial light. These crystals act like a gigantic mirror, reflecting the light source upwards or downwards. Again, while this is not a portal, it is possible that people could mistake it for one.
Jep also discusses the possibility of wormhole tunnels through SpaceTime, which could connect two distant points in the universe. However, he notes that these are extremely unstable and would require exotic matter with negative energy to keep them open. While this is an interesting concept, it is still largely theoretical and unproven.
I find these natural phenomena to be fascinating and worth considering when examining reports of portal sightings. While they may not provide a definitive explanation, they do offer a possible alternative to the idea of supernatural portals.
