New Mexico Teen's Chilling Bigfoot Encounter and Family Legacy

A thrilling Bigfoot encounter story has recently been shared on the YouTube channel Mysteries Unknown. In this episode, host Marcus recounts his own encounter as a teenager in New Mexico, as well as a similar experience had by his mother. Marcus' encounter took place in the summer of 2015, when he was just out of high school. He and a friend were driving around and decided to stop at a picnic area alongside the Rio Grande River. As they were walking through a dense forested area, Marcus heard a series of strange sounds. At first, he heard what sounded like a woman screaming at the top of her lungs. But after a few seconds, the scream transformed into the sound of a chimpanzee cooing, and finally ended with the sound of a crowing rooster. Marcus and his friend were startled by the call, but decided to continue walking. However, they were soon stopped in their tracks when the same call sounded again, this time much closer to them. Marcus describes the second call as being "so loud it was like one of those things that you hear where you're just like you kind of have to shrink away from because it's kind of piercing to your eardrum." The call was close enough that Marcus and his friend could feel its intensity, and they quickly decided to leave the area. Although Marcus didn't see anything, he is certain that the calls he heard were made by a Bigfoot. He believes that there were two of them, and that the first call may have been a locating call, while the second call was made out of curiosity. Marcus' mother also had a Bigfoot encounter years ago, which he finds interesting due to the similarities between their experiences. In her encounter, she heard a series of loud, distinct calls that sounded like a woman screaming, followed by the sound of a chimpanzee.
