A recent video posted on YouTube by Hammerson Peters, a well-known researcher and investigator of the paranormal, has caught the attention of the Bigfoot community. The video, titled "The Secret Sasquatch Files - Episode 10," explores a series of strange and unexplained events that took place in Canada during the early 1900s, involving sightings of a creature that bears a striking resemblance to the legendary Sasquatch.
One of the most intriguing stories in the video comes from the inlet of Port San Juan on southwestern Vancouver Island, where two fishermen had a terrifying encounter with a "gorilla-like" creature while on a hunting trip. The creature was described as standing six feet tall, covered in six-inch-long hair, and completely naked save for a small breech cloth. Despite their attempts to locate the creature, the fishermen were unable to find it and eventually returned to their boat.
Another fascinating story in the video comes from a group of cowboys in British Columbia, who encountered a savage-looking white man with long hair and a beard while searching for lost horses. The man was accompanied by a native woman, who claimed to have not seen another Indian in seven years. Chief Louis, the leader of the cowboys' band, suspected that the woman was the only survivor of an unsolved massacre that had occurred seventeen years earlier.
The video also touches on the theory that the Vancouver Island wildman is actually a German recluse named John Feurst, who had established a homestead on the banks of Sproat Lake and had become known as the "Sproat Lake bear." However, this theory was debunked when a lumberman discovered Feurst's skeleton in the deep woods above Sproat Lake in 1907.
I am always intrigued by stories and sightings of the legendary creature. This video by Hammerson Peters is no exception, and it provides some fascinating food for thought for anyone interested in the world of the paranormal and the unexplained. I highly recommend checking it out for yourself and drawing your own conclusions.
