A new video from the Sasquatch Awareness Project has been making waves in the Bigfoot community. In this installment of "The Truth Denied," Scott Carpenter discusses his involvement in the Sasquatch Genome Project and his experiences as a field researcher with the North American Bigfoot Search (NABS) organization.
Carpenter shares his correspondence with David Pilates, the executive director of NABS, and how he was impressed with Pilates' logical approach to Bigfoot research. Carpenter began sharing his research experiences with NABS and eventually joined the organization as a field researcher in February 2011.
One of the most interesting parts of the video is when Carpenter discusses the innovative strategy he and Pilates came up with to humanely collect DNA from Bigfoot. They used clear packing tape, placed sticky side out, around a tree with bait above it. When a Bigfoot would lean against the tree to investigate the bait, their hair would stick to the tape and be pulled out by the roots, allowing for the collection of DNA-rich hair samples.
Carpenter also shares his experiences collecting hair samples in Tennessee, including in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and in his own backyard. He collected over 30 samples, 11 of which were determined to be Bigfoot hair. These samples were used in the Sasquatch Genome Project and have provided valuable DNA evidence for the existence of Bigfoot.
Overall, this video is an exciting look into the work being done by NABS and the Sasquatch Genome Project. It's always fascinating to hear firsthand accounts from Bigfoot researchers and to learn about the innovative methods they use to collect evidence.
