Bigfoot Encounter Shocks Hunters on Alagen River in 1987

A thrilling tale of a close encounter with a Sasquatch has been making the rounds on YouTube, and I couldn't wait to share it with our community of Bigfoot believers. The story comes to us from Danny, who, along with his hunting buddy Tom, had a chilling experience while duck hunting on the Alagen River in 1987. Danny and Tom had launched their boat in the river, hoping to tag a few late-season ducks that hadn't yet migrated south. As they approached a spot where white water could be seen rippling over the shallow, they noticed a spot on the bank covered in cattails that had always been a great spot for them to build a makeshift blind and conceal themselves for the hunt. After reaching their destination, they slid the boat up on the shore and covered it with a camo tarp to conceal it from the birds overhead. They set out about two dozen decoys and crouched in the cattails, waiting for the ducks to come in range. As they waited, Danny's lab, Cinnamon, began to growl, which was very uncharacteristic behavior for her. Despite their attempts to calm Cinnamon down, she continued to growl, whine, and bark, staring across the river at the bank on the other side. After about 20 minutes, Danny asked Tom if he saw anything over there, to which Tom replied that he didn't see anything. However, Cinnamon seemed to be aware of the monster's presence the whole time. As they were about to re-enter the cattails to continue their hunt, a couple of mallards broke off from their flight to have a look at their decoys. The shots rang out, and Ed and Danny virtually fired at the same time, hitting two of the birds before giving the command for Cinnamon to fetch. As they were retrieving their ducks, a gigantic hairy monster appeared, standing easily 3 feet over the 6-foot cattails. The creature began to move so quickly out of the cattails and toward the woods that Ed and Danny could barely keep up. Cinnamon started to bark and howl like a wolf, and the creature turned as she did so, continuing to walk away from them. Ed and Danny both knew that they were looking at a Sasquatch, but they couldn't believe their eyes. The creature was so large and darkly colored that it had to have been laying down asleep. When it first stood, it didn't look at them; it was walking away at a very fast pace. It wasn't until Cinnamon began to bark violently that it turned its head to the right, looking over its shoulder for one brief moment. The face of the Sasquatch was not covered in fur or hair, and they could see that its eye sockets were deeply recessed and dark, with its eyes being all black. The creature appeared to be moving leisurely, but in human terms, it was covering a lot of ground quickly. Ed and Danny both agree that this thing is a monster, not a man. They are convinced that both of their shotguns could not have stopped this thing from killing them had it come to that. I am always excited to share stories like these with our community of Bigfoot believers.
