There's a YouTube channel called Wild Assault that recently posted a video about a chilling story of a town allegedly terrorized by a Bigfoot-like creature. The video, titled "The Heartbreaking Story Of How Bigfoot TERRORIZED An Entire Town," shares the history of Portlock, an Alaskan village that has been abandoned four times due to mysterious and frightening circumstances. According to the video, the earliest documented explorer to set foot in Portlock was a British captain named Nathaniel Portlock in 1785. He and his crew were shocked to find remnants of an old native village, but they decided to establish a settlement there. However, members of the crew soon began falling ill, experiencing a strange sickness accompanied by intense fear. The crew begged Portlock to abandon the area, and they eventually left, marking the beginning of the land's cursed history. In 1867, a group of nomadic SucK native to the region settled in Portlock, but they too faced attacks by what they described as cannibal giants. These monstrous beings descended upon their village with insatiable hunger, driving the SucK away from their home. In 1921, another group, the nomadic community of Russian Aleut, arrived in Portlock and established a bustling cannery. They enforced strict rules to protect themselves, including a nightly curfew and armed guards stationed around the cannery, school, and streets. However, in 1931, a logger named Andrew Clock ventured into the forest, breaking the unspoken rule to stay near the edges. His mangled body was later found, with his head crushed by his own sled and his loyal dogs torn to shreds nearby. Clock's death left the town on edge, and soon after, more residents began to vanish without a trace. The video suggests that the creature responsible for these disappearances is a vengeful spirit, like a tiger that remembers a poacher or an elephant that remembers an abuser. While the video is certainly intriguing, it's good to remember that it's always up to interpretation. Whether you believe in the existence of Bigfoot or not, the story of Portlock is a fascinating and eerie tale that will leave you questioning what really happened in that Alaskan village.
