A few days ago, I stumbled upon an intriguing video on YouTube from the channel "Bigfoot Society" that caught my attention. In the video, the host interviews a witness named Shelly, who shares her chilling encounter with something mysterious in the Garden of the Gods, a national forest located in Southern Illinois.
Shelly, an artist, avid traveler, and hiker, had set out to explore the Shauni National Forest, specifically the Garden of the Gods area, on August 24, 2015. After hiking and setting up camp, she and her friend decided to do some stargazing in the Garden of the Gods area around 10 PM. As they were enjoying the night sky, they noticed several unidentified flying objects, which they observed for about 45 minutes before returning to their campsite.
As they walked back, they heard distinct footsteps in the woods, about 15 to 25 feet away, which followed them for at least half a mile. Despite not seeing anything, Shelly was certain that whatever was following them was bipedal. The footsteps stopped whenever she and her friend stopped, and they only ceased when they reached their campsite.
Throughout the night, Shelly couldn't shake off the feeling that something was amiss, and she had trouble feeling safe in her tent. The next day, she learned about a Sasquatch statue outside the campground, which added another layer of intrigue to her experience.
The video is a fascinating account of a possible Bigfoot encounter, and I highly recommend watching it for yourself. Shelly's detailed description of the events and her genuine emotions make for a compelling story.
While I can't share the title of the video or the YouTube channel here, I encourage you to search for it on your own and experience the excitement of this potential encounter. Who knows, it might inspire you to share your own Bigfoot stories or even venture out on a hike in search of the elusive Sasquatch.
