A new interview with Henry Franzon, a long-time Bigfoot researcher, has been making the rounds on YouTube. In the video, Franzon shares his first encounter with the elusive creature, which took place in 1993 during a camping trip with his wife in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon.
Franzon and his wife were on their way to Skookum Lake when they missed a turn and had to turn around. As they returned to the spot where they had turned around, they were hit with a powerful, pungent smell that Franzon describes as a "big wet dog." Franzon's wife fell asleep almost instantly, and Franzon could feel the hair on his arms and head standing on end due to static electricity. Suddenly, the smell and the feeling of static electricity disappeared, and Franzon's van wouldn't start. They were forced to camp out in the van overnight, and when they were able to leave the next day, Franzon knew he had experienced something out of the ordinary.
Franzon went on to become a board member of Peter Byrne's Bigfoot research project and spent 30 years investigating and analyzing Bigfoot sightings in Oregon and Washington. He also created the first Bigfoot discussion group online and was instrumental in bringing the Bigfoot community together on the internet.
In the interview, Franzon expresses some frustration with the current state of the Bigfoot community, particularly the online community, which he feels can be toxic and divisive. He encourages people to approach the subject with an open mind and to work together to piece together the puzzle of Bigfoot's existence.
As a Bigfoot believer and researcher myself, I found Franzon's interview to be informative and thought-provoking. It's always interesting to hear the personal experiences of long-time researchers and to learn about their journey in the field. I encourage all Bigfoot enthusiasts to check out the interview and hear Franzon's story for themselves.
