A chilling encounter with a growling Bigfoot has been reported in Whittier, North Carolina. The eyewitness, John MB, and his companion were staying in a cabin rental when they heard strange noises on the porch. At first, they thought it might be a deer or a raccoon, but when they heard a growl, they knew something was amiss.
John MB grabbed his pistol and phone, and as he approached the window, he saw a dark, tall creature on the porch. He described it as having broad shoulders, black hair, and apelike features, standing at least 8 feet tall. The creature fit the description of Bigfoot, and John MB and his companion were understandably frightened.
The creature eventually left, but not before knocking over a flower pot on the porch. John MB didn't see any footprints, but many leaves had fallen during the night, making it difficult to see any tracks.
Another North Carolina resident, Cody D, shared his own strange encounter. He and his hunting buddies stumbled across some tracks on a small bank on the Yadkin River. The tracks were found miles from the nearest boat ramp and were accompanied by a smaller set of tracks that seemed to be on its tiptoes. Both sets of tracks led into the water, and there were no signs of a boat or any other human activity in the area.
Cody D also mentioned hearing wood on wood knocks and random trees falling while hunting in the area. He emphasized that he and his friends were not playing any pranks or trying to fool anyone.
The Rocky Mountain Sasquatch YouTube channel responded to Cody D's post, asking if he had any more photos of the tracks. Cody D replied that he didn't believe so, as the photos were taken four or five years ago when the encounter happened.
The channel also mentioned that many researchers believe that Bigfoot can see the infrared trigger beam on game cameras and avoid the areas where they are placed. Cody D agreed, stating that if he were a Bigfoot, he would be able to smell and hear humans coming and avoid them.
The Rocky Mountain Sasquatch channel also mentioned that using trail cameras for over 12 years has shown that they give off a lot of scent themselves, which may be why Bigfoot avoids them. Cody D responded that he had thought the same thing, as the tracks he saw seemed fresh, as if they had been disturbed by his presence.
Derek, a resident of the northeastern tip of Tennessee, also shared his own encounter with Bigfoot. He saw one standing beside the road one morning and two in his backyard about 4:40 a.m. as he left for work. Derek also mentioned that he had seen eyeshine and captured a video of it, but his phone died shortly after.
The Cherokee in the area have their own names for Bigfoot, including yada waha or tul Kalo or N, which translates to "Mystic tribe" or "the slope giant."
These encounters are a reminder that Bigfoot sightings are not limited to the Pacific Northwest. They can be found in many parts of North America, including the southeastern United States. It's good to approach these encounters with an open mind and a healthy dose of skepticism, but also with a sense of wonder and curiosity.
