A tragic story has recently come to light, involving two men who lost their lives while searching for Sasquatch in eastern Scania County. The men, who were from Portland, Oregon, were reported missing on December 25, 2024, after they failed to return home as planned. A search and rescue operation was launched, involving over 60 volunteers and canine, drone, and ground searching teams. Unfortunately, after a grueling three-day search in difficult terrain and harsh weather conditions, the men were found deceased in a heavily wooded area in the Guilford picnic National Forest.
According to the Scania County Sheriff's Office, it appears that the men died due to exposure, based on the weather conditions and their lack of preparedness. This is a tragic reminder of the importance of being prepared when venturing out into the wilderness, especially in harsh weather conditions.
The YouTube channel Bucks Bigfoot Stories shared this story, emphasizing the need to be prepared and do research before embarking on a search for Sasquatch. The channel's host, Buck, expresses his condolences to the families of the lost men and encourages all those who choose to search for Sasquatch to do so safely and responsibly.
It's always sad to hear of such tragedies, and our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of the two men who lost their lives. As Bigfoot believers, it's good to remember that safety should always be our top priority, even when we're passionate about searching for Sasquatch.
