A thrilling encounter with a Sasquatch has been reported from Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska, and the Bigfoot Society was lucky enough to speak with the witness, Dylan. In the video, Dylan shares his incredible experiences seeing the elusive creature not just once, but twice over the years.
During his first encounter, Dylan and his friend were crab fishing when they noticed a strange shape moving between two islands. At first, they thought it was a log, but upon closer inspection, they realized it was a Sasquatch swimming in the water. Dylan's friend, who was familiar with Native Alaskan folklore, called the creature a "kushika," a being believed to live near water and lure men towards it with eerie sounds.
Years later, Dylan had another encounter while fishing in the Carter River Wilderness. As he peered over the river, he saw what he initially thought was a bear. However, as he got closer, he realized it was a Sasquatch with a long head, small face, and massive forehead. The creature had yellow eyes, a real big eyebrow ridge, and a flat face with a slit-like nose.
The Sasquatch appeared to be more ape-like, with big cheeks resembling those of an orangutan. Its hair was shaggy and thick, and it had two feet with thumbs. Dylan couldn't see the legs clearly, but the creature's gate was distinct, taking huge steps and disappearing into the salmonberry bushes in a matter of seconds.
The smell surrounding the Sasquatch was overwhelming, described as one of the worst smells Dylan had ever encountered, reminiscent of a rancid, sweaty dog smell from an animal shelter. The emotional impact of the encounter left Dylan paralyzed for several minutes, unable to move or speak about what he had witnessed for six months.
The Bigfoot Society's interview with Dylan offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of Sasquatch encounters. Watch the full video to learn more about Dylan's experiences and the history of Sasquatch sightings in Alaska.
