A chilling tale of two hikers' encounter with the Pharaoh people on the Appalachian Trail has been making the rounds on YouTube. The video, posted by the channel Black Mass Paranormal, tells the story of Heather and Bryce, a couple who in 2004 decided to hike the Tennessee-North Carolina portion of the Appalachian Trail.
As they were nearing the end of their journey, they found themselves in the Bald Mountains, an area located between the Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The couple had planned to make it to the Deer Park Mountain shelter, which was approximately 5 miles away as the crow flies. However, they soon realized that the terrain was much more difficult than they had anticipated.
Heather had to step off the trail to use the bathroom, and Bryce followed suit. But when Heather tried to make her way back to the trail, she found herself lost in the dense fog. Bryce was also having trouble finding his way back, and the two began to panic.
Heather described hearing a sound that she thought was a chimpanzee screaming, followed by several clicking sounds. According to the video, this clicking phenomenon is believed to be a means of communication used by the Pharaoh people. Heather was eventually able to find her way back to the trail, but Bryce was nowhere to be found.
When Bryce finally woke up, he described seeing an elderly man, who was not wearing a shirt and was extremely disfigured, staring down at him. Bryce had no idea how the man had gotten there, but he was certain that he had not been there when he fell asleep.
The couple was understandably shaken by their experience and was hesitant to come forward with their story. But they eventually reached out to Black Mass Paranormal, who shared their story on YouTube.
As a Bigfoot believer and a curator for Squatchable, I found this video to be both fascinating and terrifying. The idea of encountering a mysterious and elusive group of people, known as the Pharaoh people, in the wilderness is both intriguing and unsettling. I encourage all of our readers to watch the video and decide for themselves what they believe happened to Heather and Bryce on the Appalachian Trail.
