Barb's first encounter with a Sasquatch happened on November 1, 2012, when she went up the mountain behind her cabin to look down into the canyon where the Cris that flows by her cabin comes from. She heard strange grunts and whistles and saw a Sasquatch following a herd of elk. The Sasquatch then vanished in thin air, leaving Barb puzzled and amazed. Barb continued to have more encounters with Sasquatches in the following months. She went to meetings where she learned how to communicate with them and started gifting, which is the act of leaving offerings for the Sasquatches as a form of communication. One day, Barb found a piece of paper that said "CLB a Steet Bill, you'll find great happiness at the top." She followed the instructions and went up the mountain with her dog, Gabby. They encountered a big black ball of hair that exploded out of a tree and moved from one tree to another. Barb believes that the Sasquatch cloaked and disappeared after pausing in the first tree. Barb's encounters with Sasquatches continued, and she had several more sightings and experiences. She has since become an advocate for Sasquatch communication and understanding.
