Arizona's Encounter with a Charred, Glowing-Eyed Bigfoot in the 1960s-70s

Arizona has long been a hotbed for strange and unexplained phenomena, and the state's rich history of Bigfoot sightings is no exception. Recently, I came across a video on YouTube that detailed several intriguing encounters in the Grand Canyon State. I am thrilled to share these stories with the Squatchable community. The first account takes us back to June 1960, in Gila County, Arizona. A family of four was driving along a remote road when they spotted a 3-foot-tall, dark-colored creature with long arms and a pumpkin-like head. The creature had yellow glowing eyes, no nose, mouth, or ears, and was covered in hair. As the family slowed down, the creature looked at them before darting back into the brush. In October 1965, Navajo County became the site of another encounter. A school teacher named Roger Heath saw a long-armed, charred creature crawling out from a wash onto the road. The creature was described as 3 feet tall, covered in black fur, and had a reddish area over its eyes but no ears. It had a roundish face and very long arms. A few years later, in January 1971, two students in Coconino County had a close encounter with a 5-foot-tall creature near Lake Mary Road. The creature looked inside their car, and when they screamed, it ambled away slowly. The witnesses described its face as covered in hair and ape-like. In Summer 1972, near Kingman, Arizona, a family had a harrowing experience with a 7-foot-tall creature. The family was driving in a Volkswagen Love Bug-type van when the creature appeared at the side of the road. Its eyes seemed to glow, and it moved incredibly fast, forcing the driver to swerve to avoid it. Winter 1972 brought another chilling encounter near Sierra Vista. A father, his 9-year-old son, and a close friend were hunting along the San Pedro River when they heard a loud, single scream. The scream was so intense that it made them freeze in their tracks. The father and his friend, both experienced hunters, had never heard such a sound before. As they beat a hasty retreat, they noticed large footprints in the sand. The final account comes from Christmas 1973, near Flagstaff. A family was traveling on Highway 40 during a snowstorm when a huge, hairy, black and brown furry being ran up behind their vehicle. The creature was very tall with a large head and long arms, and it was running on two feet. These captivating stories from Arizona serve as a reminder of the enduring mystery surrounding Bigfoot.
