A strange and mysterious creature has been spotted in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, and people are flocking to the area to try and catch a glimpse of it. The creature, which has been dubbed "Nai" by locals, has been described as being around 7 feet tall, with a small head, flat face, and a dark, hairy body. Some people have even reported seeing it picking through trash and making its way through the woods. The first person to come forward with a sighting of Nai was an 88-year-old woman named Minnie, who was so terrified of what she saw that she refuses to go outside unless she is armed with a rifle. Since Minnie's sighting, at least 16 other people have reported seeing the creature in the vicinity of Carpenter's knob, a community located about 10 miles west of TCA. Speculation about the creature's identity ranges from a wandering mountain panther to an escaped carnival baboon, to a misplaced bear, to the infamous Bigfoot. A state park developer even drove from Eastern North Carolina to TCA to check out the Bigfoot possibility. While most people have not been able to find any physical evidence of the creature, some have reported finding large tracks that are at least the size of a man's hand and similarly shaped, with a thumb-like protrusion. Despite the lack of concrete evidence, many people are convinced that Nai is real and are determined to find it. A radio station crew even spent a night at a campground near the base of Carpenter's knob, hoping to spot the creature. I find this story fascinating and I can't wait to see if anyone is able to find any definitive proof of Nai's existence. I encourage all of our readers to check out the video and share their thoughts on this mysterious creature. Who knows, maybe you'll be the one to finally find Nai and put an end to the mystery once and for all.
