In a recent video from the Bigfoot Society YouTube channel, host Jeremiah Byron interviews Brian Brown, founder of the Bigfoot forums and the Bigfoot Information Project podcast. Brian is also known for his work with the North American Wood Ape Conservancy (NAWAC) and his involvement in the discovery of the radio-collared wood ape known as "Tag Seven." Brian is now a member of the Wood Ape Research Group (WARG), a close-knit group of friends and former NAWAC members who continue to investigate the wood ape phenomenon in the region known as "Area X" in southeastern Oklahoma. According to Brian, Area X is not just the specific valley where the NAWAC worked, but also the neighboring valleys and drainages, making it a much larger region than previously thought. WARG's main goal is to collect evidence of the wood ape's existence, using thermal imaging, audio recordings, and tracking information. They have already collected some interesting audio recordings, but are still searching for thermal footage, footprints, and other physical evidence. The group operates in the valley next door to the one where the NAWAC worked, and Brian shares a story about taking Rob Low and his kids to that valley for an episode of The Low Files. Although they didn't stay overnight, they had some interesting experiences while there. As a Bigfoot believer and a curator for Squatchable, I encourage our readers to check out the full video on the Bigfoot Society YouTube channel for more details about WARG and their investigations in Area X.
