A new cryptid has been making waves in the Pacific Northwest, and it's not Sasquatch. The "Klickitat Ape Cat" is a mysterious black feline creature that has been spotted in the Columbia River Gorge in Washington state. I recently came across a video from the YouTube channel The Caffeinated Cryptid w/ Bobby Dizzle, where they interviewed James Szubski, COO of Margie's Outdoor Store and leader of the Klickitat Ape Cat research team. In the video, Szubski shares stories from witnesses who have encountered this strange creature. One witness described seeing a big black cat with a monkey-like face, while another witness saw it near the edge of the street and described it as having cat-like movements. Szubski also mentions that the creature is described as having a muscular build, long tail, and black fur, and that it is biologically possible for it to be related to the Ice Age North American lion called Panthera atrox. What's interesting about the Klickitat Ape Cat is that it's not just one or two sightings, but over 130 reports have been made of this creature in the Columbia River Gorge area. Szubski and his team have been collecting these reports and are starting to see patterns emerge. However, only about half of the reports describe the creature as being four to five feet tall, while the other half describe it as being a more typical cat size. As a Bigfoot believer and a paranormal enthusiast, I find the Klickitat Ape Cat to be a fascinating and intriguing creature. The fact that there have been so many sightings and reports of this creature in one specific area is definitely worth looking into. I encourage all of you to check out the video from The Caffeinated Cryptid w/ Bobby Dizzle and hear the full interview with James Szubski. Who knows, maybe you'll be the next person to spot the Klickitat Ape Cat.
