A grandfather, uncle, and nephew were camping in the Mount Lassen National Forest when they heard a loud growl-scream noise that sounded like it came from a large animal. The noise was so startling that the group in the camp above them packed up and left in a hurry. The grandfather thought it was a bobcat or cougar, but the nephew and uncle had never heard an animal make that kind of sound before. The third story is from Weaverville, Trinity County, California, during the winter of 1994. A young grocery clerk was parked with his girlfriend, engaging in some heavy petting, when they were interrupted by the rocking motion of his Chevy Camaro. When the young man got out of the car to confront the intruder, he found himself face to face with a light-colored Sasquatch. The terrified kid got back in the car, locked the doors, and did a quick u-turn, with the Sasquatch following them for several hundred feet before trailing off. The fourth story comes from Canada in June 1996, where the chief editor of Animal Watch, Alex Michael, wrote about her encounter with Sasquatch in volume number one, issue number 10. Michael's account is one of the more chilling and educational stories I have read. These stories are a reminder that Sasquatch sightings and encounters are still happening today, and they are as fascinating as ever.
