In a recent video from The Unseen Paranormal Podcast, paranormal researcher and investigator Eric Freeman Sims interviews Stanley Milford Jr., a paranormal ranger for the Navajo Nation. Milford and his partner, Jonathan Dober, were tasked with investigating all paranormal goings-on on the reservation, including skinwalkers, witchcraft, ghosts, Bigfoot, and aliens.
Milford has now written a book, set to be released on October 1st, about his experiences as a paranormal ranger. The book is already on the New York Times top 22 books to read this fall and is expected to be a bestseller. Milford and Sims discuss the importance of the journey in paranormal research, as well as the significance of Milford's upbringing in both Native American and Western cultures.
Milford grew up on the Navajo reservation and in Oklahoma, where he was exposed to both Native American traditions and Western culture. This upbringing gave him a unique perspective on the paranormal goings-on he investigated as a ranger. His partner, Jonathan Dober, also had a foot in both worlds, having grown up in Los Angeles and spending time with his grandparents on the Navajo reservation.
The Navajo Nation has a rich cultural history, including practices of medicine men and witchcraft. The Department of Resource Enforcement, where Milford and Dober worked, approached paranormal investigations from a place of helping and protecting people, rather than dismissing their experiences. This cultural sensitivity and open-minded approach allowed them to effectively investigate a wide range of paranormal phenomena.
As Bigfoot believers, we are excited to learn more about Milford's experiences and insights into the paranormal world. Be sure to check out the video and keep an eye out for his book, set to be released soon.
