As they tried to turn in their hammock to get a better look, they heard something walking away from the head end of their hammock. The witness describes the sound as bipedal, and they tried to turn their thermal scope to get a better look, but they couldn't turn it enough to see behind them. The witness held the thermal scope up over their head and scanned the area behind them, but they didn't see anything. They could hear the creature walking away from them, towards the creek. The next morning, the witness told their friend Mark about the encounter, and they later reviewed the audio from the night before. They discovered that the creature had been throwing rocks and making other noises for 30 minutes before the witness woke up. The witness estimates that the creature was within 20 yards of them when they finally woke up, and they were understandably shaken by the experience.
