Family Unearths Ancient Bones and Encounters Paranormal Creatures on Cherokee Land

A chilling tale of the paranormal has emerged from the YouTube channel Dixie Cryptid, and I couldn't help but share this fascinating story with my fellow Squatchable community. The video, titled "Archive 009 Bigfoot," takes us to an Upstate area of South Carolina, where a piece of land named after the Tokina band of Cherokee holds a dark and mysterious past. The area, once surrounded by pasture land, has small patches of wooded areas that have remained undisturbed for decades. The story begins with a construction delay due to the discovery of human bones while installing a septic tank. The contractor, who left the job unfinished, claimed that strange things had been happening on the property. Intriguingly, a second contractor also unearthed human bones, and the police were called to settle the matter. As a Bigfoot researcher, I was particularly intrigued when the family mentioned that they had seen spirits of Native people walking through the house and around the property. My curiosity piqued, I delved deeper into the story. My cousin, who lived on the property, shared a bizarre encounter with a giant bird-like creature that moved in a jerking mechanical motion and was surrounded by fog. Later, I saw an adult Mouflon, a type of wild sheep, in the field next door, which my cousin kept as pets. The story took a darker turn when my aunt began investigating the history of the property and discovered that it was once the site of a Tokina village. In the early days of the South Carolina colony, British Colonel Archibald Montgomery was given the task of forcing the Tokina people from the area. The village leaders had refused to leave, and the colonel marched an entire regiment of infantry to the outskirts of the village, attacking at first light and massacring every Tokina man, woman, and child. The family reported seeing spirits of Native people walking through the house and around the property, hearing strange noises, and experiencing other paranormal activities. I couldn't help but wonder if there was a connection between the Native spirits and the possibility of Bigfoot sightings in the area. The video left me with a sense of excitement and curiosity about the mysterious events that took place on this piece of land.
