A thrilling account of a close encounter with a Sasquatch has been shared on the YouTube channel, Bigfoot Society. The witness, Pete, recounts his experience from 1979, when he was just 12 years old, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. Pete, born and raised in Tomahawk, describes the area as lake country with over 15,000 lakes, making it an ideal habitat for wildlife. His encounter took place near a junkyard owned by his father, where Pete and his friends would often take joyrides in the junk cars. One night, Pete took a 1972 Toyota Corolla for a spin and drove out to a four-mile stretch of Highway O. However, his headlights began to dim, and the car eventually died, leaving him stranded. As he contemplated his next move, he heard noises coming from the nearby swamp and noticed trees shaking. Believing it to be a black bear, Pete became scared and started walking back to the car. As he walked, the trees continued to shake, and to Pete's astonishment, a Sasquatch stepped out from the tree line and began walking alongside him. Pete, trying to keep his cool, started running, but the Sasquatch continued to follow him at a leisurely pace. Pete's description of the Sasquatch's movements matches those seen in the Patterson-Gimlin film, with 8-10 foot strides and hands swinging by its side. As Pete approached a quanset hut with a street light, he feared the Sasquatch would grab him, but it never did. Pete's story is a fascinating account of a close encounter with a Sasquatch, and his courage in sharing his experience is commendable. It's always exciting to hear firsthand accounts of possible Sasquatch sightings, and Pete's story is no exception.
