The Sasquatch Summer Fest in Oakridge, Oregon, has come to a close, and it sounds like it was an incredible event! The festival brought together Bigfoot enthusiasts from all over to share their experiences, learn from experts, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Oakridge. I came across a video from the Bigfoot Society YouTube channel, which featured two patreon members, Slaya from Montana and Jersey from Oklahoma, sharing their experiences at the festival. They spoke about the connections they made with other attendees, the fascinating speakers they heard from, and the unique vendors they encountered. Slaya mentioned that she particularly enjoyed talking to people one-on-one and learning more about their personal Bigfoot encounters. She also loved the DIY leather tent where she could create her own Bigfoot-themed gifts. Jersey, who is new to the Bigfoot community, shared that she had a paranormal experience in the past and was excited to learn more about the connection between Bigfoot and the paranormal. She is now eager to go Sasquatch hunting! The speakers at the festival included Cliff Barackman, Todd Neiss, Jason Kenzie, Chad Arment, Tobe Johnson, Dr. J Robert Alley, and Christy Sanders. Slaya's favorite speaker was Tobe Johnson, and she shared that she learned so much from all of the presentations. Jersey was especially impressed by Christy Sanders, who she felt was incredibly smart when it comes to Bigfoot. One of the highlights of the festival was the Sierra Sounds hike, which took place across the river in the Forest of Oakridge. The hike featured speakers in the forest playing Sierra Sounds, which are vocalizations that have been attributed to Bigfoot. The hike was intense, but also a lot of fun, and it took place in an area where there have been multiple Bigfoot sightings. Slaya and Jersey also talked about the food selection at the festival, which included pizza, hot dogs, and shaved ice. They were particularly excited to try the shaved ice with some rum in it! At the festival, there was also a booth where attendees could mark the areas where they've had visual sightings or weird experiences in Oakridge. The map quickly filled up with local sightings, and there were some really interesting stories that came out of it. One local shared a story about a Native American gentleman who would come into the Chevron in town and talk about summoning Sasquatch at Summit Lake. Another attendee shared an anonymous report about a family of Sasquatch that was spotted in the woods, and when the hunter looked through his scope, he saw a huge hand crush the glass on his rifle scope. Overall, the Sasquatch Summer Fest sounded like an incredible event, and I'm excited to hear more about the experiences and encounters that were shared there.
