A fascinating account of a Sasquatch encounter in Newfoundland has recently emerged, and I couldn't resist sharing it with our fellow Bigfoot enthusiasts. The story comes from the YouTube channel Bucks bigfoot storyteller and is set in the Fall of 1913 in the area of Unhappy Valley, Goosebay, near the Traverspine River and Lavador.
The tale begins with Michelle's daughter playing near the river when she hears heavy footsteps approaching from the forest. As she watches, a large, dark, gorilla-like creature emerges from the trees on all fours. The young girl, frozen in fear, watches as the creature rises up on its hind legs, revealing long arms that hang down past its knees and white hair on its head and neck.
Realizing the potential danger, the girl gathers her courage and slowly backs away, but the creature begins to follow her, opening its mouth and smiling in a disconcerting way. The girl runs back home and tells her father about the encounter. He and other men in the area take up arms and search the area, discovering large two-toed tracks that measure nearly 12 inches long and are deeply embedded in the dirt.
A few days later, the creature returns, this time appearing at one of the home's windows while the second Michelin daughter plays inside with the family dogs. The protective mother grabs a hunting rifle and fires at the creature, but misses. The creature turns and flees back into the woods.
Over the next two years, the creature continues to visit the home, always at night. The family grows accustomed to the creature's presence and even brings their dogs inside for protection. Eventually, the creature stops coming around, and the Michelin family is relieved to finally have peace.
This captivating story highlights the mysterious nature of Sasquatch encounters and the profound impact they can have on those who experience them. If you're interested in learning more about this intriguing tale, be sure to check out the video on Bucks bigfoot storyteller's YouTube channel.
