A harrowing tale of a close encounter with a Sasquatch has recently emerged on YouTube, and I couldn't help but share this chilling story with our fellow Bigfoot enthusiasts. The encounter took place on Rattlesnake Ridge, located in King County, Washington, in July 1998.
The two friends, one of them a geology student at Seattle University, had set out on a seemingly ordinary hike to collect rocks for the student's class. The trail head, usually bustling with activity, was eerily quiet that day, with only three other cars in the parking lot and an unusual stillness enveloping the forest.
As they ventured deeper into the woods, following a small creek, they suddenly heard a strange slurping sound echoing from somewhere ahead. Upon investigating, they came face-to-face with a massive creature, unlike anything they had ever seen before. The creature was hunched over the creek, drinking water, and stood up to its full height when it noticed the two friends.
Described as over 10 to 12 feet tall, the creature had a pair of feet with five toes, a muscular build, and a face that resembled a Neanderthal. The friends were frozen in terror as the creature stared them down, its arms raised in a defensive posture. After what felt like an eternity, the creature let out a deep, resonant call and retreated, allowing the two friends to escape.
The experience left a lasting impression on the friends, who have chosen to remain anonymous. While the video doesn't provide any concrete evidence, it serves as a reminder of the mysterious nature of Sasquatch and the power of firsthand accounts in fueling our fascination with this elusive creature.
