A new video has been making the rounds in the Bigfoot community, and it's one that fans of the elusive creature won't want to miss. The video, posted on the YouTube channel Thom Cantrall, is titled "Bigfoot of the Blues by Vance Orchard Chapter 9" and is sponsored by the International Society for Primal People. The video explores the exciting events that took place on the Blue Mountains in the 1980s and early 1990s. During this time, there were several significant developments in the search for Bigfoot, including the filming of a documentary by ABC's Good Morning America in 1987, photographs taken in 1988 by Dwayne Freeman (son of Paul Freeman) of a Bigfoot, and the discovery of unique rocks with pictographs by the same father-son team in 1990. One of the most interesting aspects of the video is the change in philosophy among Bigfoot seekers during this time period. According to the video, there was a wide range of opinions about the creature, with some believing that killing one was the only way to obtain proof, while others, like longtime Blue Mountain resident West Summerland, believed that Bigfoot wanted to communicate with humans. The video also touches on the story of Paul Freeman, one of the most well-known Bigfoot hunters of the time. Freeman was determined to get a Bigfoot, even if it meant shooting one, and in 1988, his son Dwayne captured some photos of a Bigfoot with a 35 mm camera. The Walla Walla Union Bulletin carried color photos of a dark object looming up in the brush as it walked away from the Freemans. Another interesting development discussed in the video is the discovery of a shelter in the Blue Mountains, which Freeman believes has Bigfoot connotations. The shelter, which is an overhang of rocks on Earth, is about 30 ft wide and the men could go into it about 15 ft or so. Freeman recalls the biggest of several rocks they found there was ornamented with stick figures and other figures resembling the pictographs found and ascribed to ancient Indians. Overall, the video is a fascinating look at the history of Bigfoot sightings and the search for the elusive creature. It's a must-watch for anyone interested in the subject, and it's sure to leave viewers excited for more.
