A fascinating account of a Kentucky Bigfoot encounter has recently been brought to my attention, and I couldn’t wait to share it with you all. The witness, who prefers to remain anonymous and will be referred to as Mr. W, reached out to The Bigfoot Mystery – Squatch-D TV in 2010 to share his incredible story. Mr. W grew up on a farm in West Logan County, where his property bordered a long, wooded area with a creek running through it. Being an avid outdoorsman, he spent much of his time exploring the woods and hunting small game. In the 1960s and again in 1973, Mr. W had two separate encounters with a large, bipedal creature that left a lasting impression on him. During the first encounter, Mr. W was hunting deer and had parked his Jeep near the back of his father’s property. He crossed a soybean field and climbed up a tree near a faint deer trail. As he sat there, he noticed a large creature standing erect about 10 yards away. Mr. W described the creature as being around 7 feet tall, heavily built, and covered in hair. Although he couldn’t make out its facial features, he could tell that it was watching him intently. Unnerved, Mr. W slowly walked away, pretending to ignore the creature. Four to five years later, Mr. W had another encounter while hunting squirrels with a flintlock Kentucky long rifle. As he moved along a game trail, he noticed a large pile of feces containing hair. Shortly after, he came across another fresh pile. The size and content of the feces led Mr. W to believe that they were from a creature much larger than any local wildlife. He regretted not taking a sample to have it tested. Intriguingly, Mr. W also shared an experience where his tent was violently shaken during the night while camping near a creek. He couldn’t find any obvious cause for the disturbance and believes it may have been another encounter with the mysterious creature. I had the opportunity to meet with Mr. W in 2010 to discuss his encounters and explore the locations where they took place. The area, which is about 1-2 miles from the main road, features a long soybean field leading to a large wooded area with a creek running through it. The wooded area is primarily composed of hardwood trees, and there is an abundance of deer, turkey, rabbits, and squirrels. During our walk, Mr. W showed me the exact location of his tent shaking encounter. The tent was set up on a small knoll, at the mouth of two adjoining hollows that formed a natural narrowing of the lowland travel route. This location would be ideal for observing any creature traffic in the area. The account given by Mr. W is a compelling one, and I believe it holds significant value for those of us who are passionate about Bigfoot research. I encourage you all to watch the video and form your own opinions on this fascinating Kentucky Bigfoot encounter.
